Following hot off the heels of the webinar series, a pop-up roadshow took to the streets of Cambridge, to give residents a chance to feedback on the vision for the proposed new neighbourhood at the Core Site, and talk to the project team in person.

The centrepiece of the roadshow was the Core Site cargo bike, rented from local business, Outspoken Cycles, based on Cowley Road, next to the site. The eye-catching bike was used to transport the roadshow materials around the city in the most sustainable way possible.

The branding helped to attract the attention of passers-by and information boards about the project were available at the pop-ups alongside postcards encouraging residents to let us know what they would want in their own five-minute neighbourhood – a concept that the project team are exploring as the designs are developed for the Core Site.

The initial pop-up roadshow sessions took place between 10th March and 23rd March in locations in Cambridge North, Milton, and Cambridge city centre.

It was great to speak to so many local people about the project and gather some initial thoughts on the vision and values.  We hope to be out and about on the bike again soon!
